Banking Associate NQ-4 Manchester £50,000 - £80,000 per annum HOB655 Permanent

Our client who are a progressive UK Top 100 law firm, require an Associate to join their Banking team.

The firms experienced Banking team, provide expert advice on a wide variety of international and domestic banking and finance transactions, including acquisition finance, asset finance, funds finance, private banking and wealth management, real estate finance and receivables and asset based lending. Advising global investment banks, international and domestic banks, asset managers, investment funds (retail, institutional and alternative), private equity sponsors, other financial institutions, industry bodies, sovereign entities, corporate end-users and ultra-high net worth individuals.

Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage own matters
  • NQ – 4 years PQE with banking experience
  • Support the partners and senior lawyers on larger transactions
  • High levels of direct client contact – candidates would be expected to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Contribute towards business development strategy of the team by preparing briefing papers, attending and presenting at client seminars and developing their own contacts within organisations

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Relevant experience and a keen interest in banking law.
  • Strong academic record
  • Good legal skills including attention to detail in drafting and a genuine interest in the needs of the client
  • An ability to think laterally and identify related issues and problems
  • A confident and professional manner strong communication skills.
