Commercial Property Solicitor - NQ

A vacancy has arisen for an NQ solicitor to join our client in Birmingham.

The commercial property team deal with a full range of commercial property work that includes sales and purchases of industrial office or retail premises, finance and refinancing transactions, planning and development for housebuilders and commercial developers, leases and licences, complex land issues,

property aspects of business start-ups and also in sectors, such as medical and dental practices and renewables and energy

Tasks and Activities:

• All aspects of commercial property work including sale and purchases, conditional contracts, non-contentious commercial lease work, option agreements, purchase and disposal of commercial and residential development sites, property re-financing.
• To carry out work to the highest possible standards, adhering to and implementing Law Society and firm guidelines and regulations including inter alia those on client care, time recording, billing, disbursements, collection of bills, confidentiality and client and office accounts.
• To ensure the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.
• To ensure that clients are regularly updated as to the current situation of their case even if the matter is going through a period of inactivity.
• To handle telephone calls effectively and efficiently.
• To ensure that all complaints are dealt with professionally, promptly and in accordance with the firm’s policies.

Requirements:

• You will have completed a minimum of one seat working within commercial property through your training contract
• You will have a strong academic background
• Flexible and willing to take on a varied workload
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
