Our client who are an outstanding commercial law firm in London are keen to strengthen their Commercial Litigation team with the appointment of a Senior Associate.

The team of litigators are highly ranked in both the Legal500 and Chambers and carry out a range of services for companies in various sectors, as well as high-net-worth individuals. The team also have considerable experience of both High Court litigation and Arbitration both national and international clients.

This is a fantastic role for a self-motivated individual, who may be seeking a different environment than the usual large corporate law firm. There will be opportunities to grasp unfamiliar concepts and to apply lateral and divergent thinking. You will work with hard-working, accomplished professionals who strive to provide the most effective advice and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with other associates, paralegals, and partners on a variety of disputes, from the very early stages through to trial.
  • Drafting notes and opinions, interviewing witnesses, preparing evidence, drafting applications, pleadings, correspondence etc.
  • Providing excellent standards of client care, in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Building rapport and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external organisations.
  • Producing consistent, accurate and high-quality work.
  • Willingness to be involved, driven by the desire to learn and continuously develop yourself.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ideally between 4-8 years’ PQE
  • Experience in commercial litigation is essential.
  • Strong academic qualifications from a highly regarded university, ideally with a First-Class degree (or equivalent).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Desire to be part of a forward-thinking, fast-paced and dynamic firm.
  • Proactive with a hands-on attitude and an enthusiasm for engaging in a wide breadth of duties.
